With the minimum of effort, this cruise gives you an opportunity to live
in the historical past of Malta. The "English Rose" leaves Mellieha
Bay at 10:45 a.m. and cruises alongside the islands of St. Paul (shipwrecked
in 60 A.D.), towards the city of Sliema, the most popular tourist resort,
we proceed alongside Marsamxett Harbour towards the Grand Harbour.
As we cruise in Grand Harbour you can listen to a detailed commentary about the history of Fort St. Elmo, the Mediterranean Conference Centre (once Sacred Infirmary), the Three Cities connected with two Great Sieges of 1565 and 1942, as well as all the other places of interest including the Malta Drydocks, and the historical forts and creeks which can only be admired from the sea.
We leave Grand Harbour to Mellieha Bay where we arrive at approximately 2.30p.m.
